# Saga Agent: product and setup overview

Saga Agent is an AI harness for work on your terms: own the work context, bring
your model keys and decide which actions may proceed. Start in VS Code
or the CLI: explore relevant context, pursue a goal, or plan dependent tasks. Inspect
changes and retain the checks and work record needed for review.

## What you can explore

- Explore / Work / Plan workflows for questions, goals and dependent tasks.
- File search, syntax-aware code outlines, proposed edits and symbol changes.
- Resource scope, edit/command approvals and reviewable scope expansion.
- Authorized diagnostics, tests, diffs and Git-state inspection.
- Work queues, pending tasks/approvals and reviewed memory notes.
- Work records and evidence capsules that connect changes with their checks.
- Supported model/provider configuration with your own keys; usage/cost records.
- Opt-in MCP tool connections with explicit host configuration and permissions.

Features depend on the authorized package and configuration. Current source includes
ongoing V2 work; this overview does not announce V2 release acceptance. The GAME Plan
execution/evidence handoff is an integration preview. Model or task completion does
not itself establish accepted work, safe deployment or contribution rewards.

## Start with network access

Saga Agent is available to SagaHalla builders and Aregis members through scoped
network access; it is not a retail offering yet. Ask for the supported package and
its version-matched VS Code/CLI setup instructions. This public overview is not a
private repository installation guide or a source-access grant.

AI is BYOK: you pay supported providers directly. Choose configured frontier or
open/local routes for the task and data policy. Remote inference sends selected
context to the chosen provider; BYOK or local routing alone does not certify
confidentiality, retention settings or permitted data use. Standalone/bundle prices are being
finalized. GitLab access is coming soon and requires the qualifying subscription,
signed applicable license agreement, verified network/product authorization and
GitLab identity. Free membership does not automatically activate Saga Agent.
